This war in Ukraine isn’t being let go because it was purposefully planned and developed during the Obama/Biden administration. You better believe everything is being stolen, money, humans, land, everything.

During the 1930s, millions of Ukrainians were deliberately starved to death by the USSR and Russians. It was only natural for Ukrainians to welcome the help that Hitler gave them in ridding their country of those Soviet creatures.
I doubt that most members of the Waffen SS were members of the so-called “Nazi” party. (There was no “Nazi” party; there was the N.S.D.A.P.) Leon Degrelle, for example, who led the Belgian contingent in the Waffen SS, was the head of the Belgian Rexist Party. (It’s my understanding that officers in the Wermacht were forbidden by law to belong to any political party.)
