The tune 1984 is not recorded live. It’s just live effects imposed on a studio recording. The song came out on Diamond Dogs in 1974, which was a killer record. Inspired by that record, I went to see David Bowie live in Boston for my 13th birthday later that year, but he had transformed into Disco Dave and did Young Americans, Fame, etc. which sucked. Never liked him after that.
