one common mistake I hear here and from MSM is that the war started on October 7th by an assault from Hamas.
Indeed Hamas is a proxy for Syria and Syria was attacked by proxies of Israel, if not directly by Israel, with drones attacking a graduation ceremony on the Homs Military College with close to 200 killed, mainly civilians from new officers families
