But before the show today I has been listening to some good Mexican mariachi music. It reminded me of yesteryear when a few CB friends and I would go down to Yuma Arizona to the in those days those big CB Jamboree’s to look at all the nifty new gadgets for the Citizen Band radios.
Back then we were modifying our CB’s to have extended channels, “Tweety Birds’s” and other noise makers intended to Jam others. Yes I was one of them type, the type that loved to raise some H & D or hate and discontent.
Anyways I was young then, about 16 on my second trip down for the annual get together. I was happy to slip across the Mexican border and grab a ICE COLD BEER to help with that hot Arizona sun beating down on me. They’d have those live Mariachi bands, and I loved the beat of the music.
I know a lot of Americans might hate to be subjected to other people’s cultures, and even more so having to make a phone call and get a recording that say’s, “Press 1 for English” but the way I see it after being taught that had not the US won WWII, a un-factual lie, that we’d all be speaking German. Soviet Russia took Berlin not the United States.
