Harry Cooper is always amazing, the topic is still hard to digest with all the lies im a feed for decades as german, i have a hard time and will never get good with it. Injustice is the worst for me and sure i will never understand this giant injustice done on my people. Currently reading “the tragedy of silesia” where all my heritage is from, just like Otto Kretschmer too.
Harry should have talked with my grandma, born 1913 and same name as Otto, she talked about Otto and the third reich with that glow in her eyes, she had the best time fo her life, i am glad the red army never got my grandma, she ran with the big trecks early enough so she never meet the Russen, sure she still hated the Russian alot until she passed, no wonder what they did, she is from Silesia like Otto too, the red army did very bad things there, no women was safe. She ended up in north germany in Hamlin the pied piper town, where i was born, she told me alot about old times, not jsut third reich times. Born 1913 she saw alot in germany.
Still my number one women i respect, as farm owner until 1945 she was a multi talent, she lived with our family until the end and run the household including garden and pets, canning and butchering animals, she did everything.
