I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society, but the people themselves: and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their controul with a wholsome discretion, the remedy is, not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. this is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.

Thomas Jefferson, letter to William Charles Jarvis (September 28, 1820)

It is impossible to fundamentally grasp the social, political, economic and cultural developments of the past 100 years without some understanding of [Edward] Bernays and his professional heirs in the public relations industry. PR is a 20th-century phenomenon, and Bernays—widely eulogized as the “father of public relations” at the time of his death in 1995—played a major role in defining the industry’s philosophy and methods.

John Stauber and Sheldon Rampton. “Father of Spin: Edward L. Bernays and the Birth of PR” (book review). PR Watch 6:2, Second Quarter, 1999 (p. 11)

…[Edward] Bernays saved every scrap of paper he sent out or took in … In so doing, he let us see just how policies were made and how, in many cases, they were founded on deception.

Larry Tye, The Father of Spin: Edward L. Bernays and The Birth of Public Relations (1998)

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

Exodus 20:16 [NASB]

It is astonishing to me, to see how fragile the monolithic, seemingly unassailable and insurmountable campaign(s) of lies is, when confronted by the simplicity of truth. These campaigns of lies — known collectively as ‘public relations’ so-called — are nothing more than a collection of lies, fomented by which a certain caste of society uses to manipulate and coerce one’s fellow man. The practice of which is tyrannical, despotic, evil, ungodly, unbiblical, dishonest, and frankly unamerican.

How pathetic, when one realizes the vast resources required to maintain such an overwhelming campaign of manipulation and coercion of one’s fellow man. How even more pathetic to think an American could be conscripted to such an evil task — propagandizing others, let alone one’s fellow Americans, in ‘public relations’ so-called fashion — in contravention to the spirit of our founding documents.

I wonder what would happen if intelligent Americans showed up at the next specious, fomented ostensibly spontaneous and organic ‘color revolutionary’ rally with screenshots of the Crowds on Demand home page — “Your home for protests, rallies, advocacy, audiences, PR stunts and political events. Services available nationwide.” — on signs, along with hashtags like #OperationGladio #OperationGladioB #StrategieOfTension #KnownWolf on signs, and then just milled silently among the bussed in ‘Crowds on Demand’… What do you suppose the local (and national?) Establishment media contingent would do then…? Imagine… millions, even billions of dollars, poured into thousands of think-tanks and PR firms over the course of several decades to weave a manipulative and coercive tapestry of lies, all undone in a moment by $100 worth of signs… And they even be reused, and would never need reprinting. Because the truth stands the test of time, whereas the ‘big lies’ must be continually told and re-told, shaped and re-shaped…

By the way, speaking of ‘big lies’; what do you suppose Donald Trump is trying to tell us with his use of the term ‘Bigly / Big League’[1][2][3][4]? Probably just another one of those pesky ‘coincidences’[5][6], right…?
