Tonight, Dec. 11, 2023, as I look over the upcoming 5 (!) announced MAGA rallies in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada, I for the first time notice that the rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Dec. 15 features as its main speaker not Donald Trump, but instead Matt Gaetz! Does this portend anything? They don’t come any better than Matt Gaetz of the Florida Panhandle, aka The Redneck Riviera. If we don’t get Tucker Carlson as V.P., I’d gladly take Matt Gaetz. Tucker’s 54. Matt’s 41? I think you have to be 35 to serve as President or Vice President. I just noticed that Matt Gaetz’s grandad was born in my town and attended one of my kids’ high school! This man, Jerry Gaetz, gave the nominating speech for Barry Goldwater at the North Dakota Republican convention. Small world.
