On February 4, 2019 the Trump Phenomenon is all atwitter on the edge of our seats as the Maestro himself, Trump, is about to take the rostrum to conduct what is sure to be a masterpiece of Western Civilization tomorrow night in his State of the Union address. We foreshadow Trump’s greatness in 2019 with that of another giant of Western Civilization, Ludwig van Beethoven, who at age 38 in 1808 premiered his Choral Fantasy for piano, chorus, and orchestra in the Vienna Theater. The Choral Fantasy is the sound of the Western ideas that Trump battles to make great again. In a Trumpian burst of creativity and genius, Beethoven premiered his Fifth and Sixth Symphonies, his Fourth Piano Concerto (with Beethoven as soloist!), and his Choral Fantasy.
