Co-host: Paul Fromm | On January 31, 2018 our Trump Phenomenon show reflects on the magisterial State of the Union address by our president last night. In the course of his approximately 80-minute address an emotional President Trump speaks of the sacredness of his obligation to serve the American people first. And mentions the incomparable monuments our people have built on the Capitol Mall as embodiments of America’s greatness. One of those monuments, the National Gallery of Art, is home to the best-preserved painting of the most magisterial European polymath, Leonardo da Vinci. His painting “Ginevra da Benci” of a beautiful young European woman is something, like the bronze statue of “Freedom” atop the Capitol Dome, that every American patriot should visit at least once in a lifetime. Like America herself, the “Ginevra da Benci” is unique; the only da Vinci anywhere in the Western Hemisphere. Pressed into the paint itself are the fingerprints of Da Vinci (1452-1519) in his twenties.
