A great meeting today, June 24, 2020, between President Trump and President Andresz Duda of Poland. It was three years ago, July 2017, that an appreciative President Duda sat listening to our recently sworn-in President Trump give one of the greatest speeches ever delivered. Our President stood under the towering statues (yes, statues!) of Polish freedom fighters in Krasinski Square (plac Krasinskich in Polish) and spoke more deeply, more philosophically, more powerfully than any previous American president. You can find the speech on YouTube (still) but we will know we’re near the end when it goes into the Memory Hole. Presidents Duda and Trump again today, in their comments, showed that they both know that the battle they are in is for keeps. President Trump said it yesterday to the college and high school patriots of Turning Point USA in Tucson, Arizona. To paraphrase: if we lose this battle we will never again have the chance to win.
