My high school chemistry teacher wrote out the chemical composition of a mystery compound on the blackboard, and challenged us to name it. The elements were: H (hydrogen) I (iodine) O (oxygen) and Ag (Silver). What is HIOAg Mr. Hedges asked. Nobody knew. Then Mr. Hedges let out with the whoop from the TV show that ALL of us kids watched in the 1950’s: “Hiyo Silver!” Yes, that’s what we’re talkin’ about in today’s Trump Phenomenon, June 9, 2019 – what America was like when it WAS great again, with the Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and Hopalong Cassidy as our heroes.
