In our Nov. 16, 2018 Trump Phenomenon show we voice our hope that President Trump will immediately start holding as many more huge Trump Train rallies as possible in the run-up to the 2020 election. It is upon us. The Social Justice Warriors, aka Bolsheviks, will be swinging their wrecking ball in their primary battles starting in the fall of next year. The Republican National Convention will nominate Donald Trump in Charlotte, North Carolina Aug. 24-24th. Ronna Romney McDaniel, who is doing a tremendous job as the Chairman of the Republican National Committee is expected to chair the convention. She is the daughter of Mitt Romney’s older brother, and the grand-daughter of Mitt Romney’s father, former Michigan governor George Romney. Some of us are old enough to remember George Romney. I’m old enough to remember riding for hours on a Eurailpass train on the way to Bordeaux, France as an eighteen-year-old in 1966 sitting next to nineteen-year-old Mitt Romney. Romney had just begun his several-year Mormon mission to France, and spent the hours on the train to Bordeaux missionizing me to become a Mormon. What neither of us knew during that long and fascinating talk was that the eighteen-year-old he was trying to bring into the Mormon church was the fourth great grandson of Brigham Young’s older sister Rhoda Young, and the fifth great grandson of (my 4th great uncle) Brigham Young’s father! It would be fifty years later that James Kelso would discover that, to him, totally startling fact in the course of diving head first into the study of family trees with the website Ancestry.com.
