Thinking back tonight, November 19, 2019…..at least two great things happened in 1948. The genius John Huston was able to make a movie like “The Treasure of the Sierra Madre”, in which Huston wrote and directed (Academy Award even!) the immortal scene in which the Mexican Federales, while trying to rob the American prospector in Mexico (Humphrey Bogart) answer: “Badges, we don’t got no badges. We don’t got to show you no stinkin’ badges.” We’ll never see another scene like that one from Hollywood. But the Federales (aka the Cartels) we always have with us. In this impossible-seeming battle pitting David (Donald Trump) against Goliath (the Deep State). At least from my personal point of view, another great thing that happened in 1948 is that I got borned. Back when America was great again. Even New York City was great again back then. That’s what the 73-years-young Donald John Trump is remembering of his birthplace and people in Queens. Heck, come to think of it, that’s what I remember from my birthplace, on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, just an easy walk down Fifth Avenue to Trump Tower….Donald Trump’s now FORMER home address.
