On September 27, 2018 The Trump Phenomenon and our patriot audience experience heaven and hell, all in one day! We started this morning with the hellish ordeal of watching the utter failure of the stupid idea of silencing all 11 Senate Judiciary Committee members by turning over all questioning to “a more sensitive” outside woman. Her name was Rachel Mitchell. Trainwreck. She made lying Mrs. Ford’s tall tales of nervous breakdown-style “grief” look good by comparison with her utterly boring ramble through disconnected details. By mid-day, thanks to whoever the genius was who crafted the idea of substituting Rachel Mitchell’s social worker slash deposition transcriptionist snooze for the high-level lawyering skills of at least six of the best Republican Senators….by mid-day, it was looking bleak for the good and great man Brett Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh, watching this trainwreck with his wife must have been in agony. By mid-day the only thing that could save the day would have to be a self defense by the Judge himself of historic dimension and impact. Only one of the greatest defenses ever delivered, both factual and emotional, could undo the damage done by the Rachel Mitchell fiasco. Well, what happened? He did it!
